Healthy Travel Tips

My favorite travel tips to FeelWell and enjoy your time! It can be hard finding that balance on vacation with maintaining your health related habits and saying, "screw it I’m on vacation". There is a middle ground, I promise. Having good food and drinks while traveling is part of the experience and should be enjoyable!

For me, traveling can very easily throw my digestive system for a loop. Which means uncomfortable/stressful times while on vacation which is not fun. SO, there are a few things when I travel I like to make sure I’m sticking with to feel my best. Check ‘em out! ⬇️


💦 Stay hydrated! This is soo important, especially when flying because flying dehydrates us. I always travel with my Hydroflask and can fill it up after security. I also like to add in Nuun tablets for that extra boost. Our hydration can really impact digestion too.

🍊 Immune support! I use a few different things for this when traveling: some type of vitamin C supplement, doTerra’s OnGuard products, and Bee Keepers throat spray. When we travel, we're exposed to all sorts of new things and environments so giving our immune system a lil' boost can make such a difference.


👟 Stretch/steps! In most cases, travel requires sitting in uncomfortable chairs for a long time. 💺Getting a little stretch in can make such a difference in how we feel. The other part is getting some steps in or some form of movement. Both of these can help with keeping digestion moving too 😉😂.

Supplement! I’ll be the first to say, I don’t get as many fruits or vegetables while traveling. And I’m very okay with that. But, I want to still make sure I am getting the baseline of nutrients. My go-to’s for this is Athletic Greens and protein powders. I also pack some protein heavy snacks with me in case I get hungry 😋.  💤Sleep! The last but certainly not least, our sleep could be one of the most important tips. I do not always sleep easily or well but value my sleep like a winning lottery ticket. Anyone who has ever woken me up knows the wrath for interrupting my sleep. Travel doesn't improve my sleep so a melatonin supplement, eye mask, and ear plugs help to make it better. I recently tried the Olly brand and I will NEVER buy another option because they were pure magic.
